Wings of Wonder: The Magic Behind My Enchanted Owl Collection

Wings of Wonder: The Magic Behind My Enchanted Owl Collection

As a child...

' The Animal Man' visited our school, he was dressed in green camouflage, with wild hair. He reminded me of the late Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter.

He begun unveiling a menagerie of creatures. He started unpacking crates and boxes of all shapes and sizes.

The first crate he opened contained a tarantula, it was huge and hairy. He asked for volunteers to hold it. I didn’t volunteer for this one.

Then out came an 8 foot boa constrictor, we all got to touch its smooth skin. I waited and hoped he would have some birds, something that would fly.

Finally, with one crate to go, I saw it, a majestic barn owl. Golden and graceful, with its heart shaped face, I instantly fell in love.

As he picked it up, it started squawking. There it was, a sound I had heard in the woodland near my home many times before.

We watched as he threw food and it swooped and dived, catching each piece with ease.

This moment was magic and ignited a lifelong owl passion within me.

Over the years I have sketched and painted owls and visited many bird sanctuaries.

My fascination with birds, particularly barn owls, has only deepened with time.

Inspired by their beauty and grace, I am unveiling my "Enchanted Owl Collection."

Each painting brings its own power, from the soothing blues to the fiery oranges, every one with its own secret to tell.

Part of the enjoyment for me as an artist, is being able to reimagine each owl in different colours based on how I see their moods and attitudes. I like to celebrate nature in all of my work, with soft petals and patterns.

I hope you find magic in my Enchanted Owl Collection, allowing it to spark your curiosity and letting your imagination soar.
